What is Perpetuate Hawaiian Culture?
Perpetuate Hawaiian Culture is an awareness movement that encourages Hawaiians, Hawaiians at heart, and those that call Hawai'i home, to reflect on the questions, "What are you doing to help perpetuate the Hawaiian culture?" and "If your Hawaiian ancestors were here today, would they be proud of you?" Perpetuate is the philanthropic "arm" of the business Holomua Healing Arts, LLC. In the past, the majority of the proceeds from Perpetuate sales go to supporting Native Hawaiian efforts, specifically the Brittany Pohakea Yap Scholarship Fund—Hawai‘i Pacific University’s first-ever scholarship for Native Hawaiians—and the annual Po‘ohala Essay Contest at Maui Waena Intermediate School.

Who runs the website?
Britt Yap (and husband Rod Pontemayor.) Perpetuate Hawaiian Culture is the philanthropic arm of Britt's business--Holomua Healing Arts, LLC . When Britt isn't with her clients, spending time with her husband and 3-year-old son, or involved in her community efforts, she is taking care of Perpetuate Hawaiian Culture website. If you have any questions or concerns, please email [email protected] and someone will return your email within 24 hours. We apologize if we do not get back to you right away.
What is the shipping policy?
Please allow 3-7 business days for us to process your order and ship. During the holidays, orders sometimes take up to 10-12 days. If you're ordering from another country, please contact us at [email protected] for rates.
What is the return policy?
All sales are final and we do not issue any refunds. However, you may exchange a clothing item for a different size. Email us to let us know you want to exchange the shirt/tank top for a different size and if we have it available, we can do so. Simply mail us back the item and as soon as we receive it, we'll mail out the new size.
Can I place a large order?
If you would like to place a large bag, lanyard, hat or sticker order, we may be able to do it in 1-2 weeks. Please contact us at [email protected].
What if what I want to order is out of stock?
Because this is an awareness movement (our passion project)--not a full-time business for us-- we have decided to run small print amounts for now. If you’re interested in a certain size that is sold out, please email us at [email protected] because we may be in the middle of printing more, or because of your request (and demand from the public), we could reprint those sizes and styles in the coming weeks. From time-to-time we do pre-orders for certain shirts and styles to test out the market.
Can I purchase a gift certificate for Perpetuate Hawaiian Culture?
As of right now, we do not sell gift certificates.
